Your account settings control how InspectEasy works for your business. From personal account details to company information, report branding, and notification preferences, these settings ensure the platform works exactly as you need it to.

Getting Started

After creating your account, you'll be guided through an onboarding process that covers the essential settings. You can always return to these settings later to make adjustments.

Personal & Company Setup

Configure your personal account details and business information. This information appears on reports and legal documents, so keeping it accurate and current is essential.

User Account Settings

Manage your personal account details and login credentials:

  • Personal Details: Update your first name, last name, and email address. Your email address is used for login and important account notifications.
  • Password Security: For security reasons, we recommend using a strong, unique password. You can change your password at any time from the User Account settings. Your new password must be at least 6 characters long.
  • Email Verification: If you change your email address, you'll need to verify the new address before it becomes active. Check your inbox for a verification email after making changes.

Company Information

Configure your company information - your business details appear on reports and legal documents:

  • Business Name: Your registered company name as it should appear on reports
  • ABN/NZBN: Your Australian Business Number or New Zealand Business Number
  • Contact Details: Primary phone number and business email address for client communications
  • Website: Your business website (optional)
  • Business Address: Complete address including unit number (if applicable), street number, street name, suburb, state, and postcode
  • Timezone Settings: Select your local timezone to ensure inspection scheduling and timestamps are displayed correctly

Important

Your business address and ABN/NZBN appear on legal documents and reports, so ensure these details are accurate and up-to-date.

Report Customization

Customize how your inspection reports look and feel. These settings control the visual presentation and email delivery of your reports.

Report Branding & Style

Customize your report branding to make your reports match your business:

  • Colour Scheme: Choose primary and secondary colours for your reports. These colours are used for headers, highlights, and accents throughout your reports
  • Typography: Select fonts for headings and body text. Choose professional fonts that reflect your business style
  • Layout Options: Configure report layout preferences including page orientation, spacing, and section arrangement
  • Company Logo: Upload your business logo to appear on reports. Supported formats include PNG and JPG. For best results, use a high-resolution logo with transparent background

Email Templates

Customize email communications sent to clients:

  • Report Delivery: Email sent when reports are completed and delivered to clients

  • Agreement Signatures: Emails sent when digital agreements require signatures

Each template can include your business details, custom messaging, and professional styling to match your brand. Use shortcodes to automatically include client names, inspection details, and other relevant information.

Build and maintain your client database:

  • Adding Contacts: Create new contacts with complete details including name, email, phone, and address information
  • Contact Types: Categorise contacts as clients, real estate agents, property managers, or other business partners
  • Import & Export: Bulk import contacts from CSV files or export your contact database for backup purposes

Comment Library

Build a library of professional comments to speed up report writing:

  • Pre-written Comments: Access hundreds of professionally written comments covering common inspection findings
  • Custom Comments: Create your own comment library with personalised observations and recommendations
  • AI-Powered Comments: Use artificial intelligence to generate contextual comments based on your inspection photos and findings

Subscription & Billing

Monitor and manage your InspectEasy subscription:

  • Free Trial: New accounts include a 14-day free trial with full access to all features
  • Billing Portal: Access your invoices, update payment methods, and view billing history through the self-service portal
  • Plan Changes: Upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately and are prorated for the remaining period of the current billing cycle.
