Creating a new account
To create an account, visit the registration page and fill out the form to begin. Once complete you will be directed to our onboarding screen where you can complete your company, billing and initial inspector details.
Once the initial account setup is complete, visit the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store to download the app.
Manage Inspectors
InspectEasy was designed for individual inspectors, as well as companies that may have more than one inspector. Multiple inspectors can be managed under a singled account if required.
Update Account Details
To update an inspectors details, visit the inspection page from the dashboard and select the pencil icon to the right of the inspector you wish to edit.
Once in the inspector's profile page you can edit the inspectors name, email and update their password if required. This section also allows you to manage or cancel a subscription for an inspector.
Password Update Options
- Reset Account Password - Will allow you to edit the inspector password by completing the form fields.
- Generate Random Password - Resets the inspector password and send the inspector a new randomly generated password.
Update Subscription
If you would like to make changes to the plans that an inspector is subscribed to, you can do so from the "Edit Inspector Account page, described in the previous section.
Under the inspection packages section, you will see a list of available plans with any plans that the current inspector has assigned to their account denoted by a red "Active Subscription" message next to it. An inspectors account must contain at least one subscription.
Changes to the inspectors assigned plans will change your monthly payments depending on the selection. Your account will not be billed until the completion of the trial period.
Note
Only a single subscription can be held to either Building, Building and Pest, or the Pest inspection. This is because the Building and Pest inspection contain all three inspection types in a single package.
Cancel Subscription
If you would like to cancel all subscriptions for an inspector, you can do so by selecting the pencil icon from the inspectors page to edit an inspector, and pressing the Cancel Subscription button within the options dropdown in the top right corner of the page.
Cancelling the subscription will cancel all active plans assigned to an inspector's account. The app will be available to use for the inspector until the end of your billing period, which is noted on the next to the inspectors details on the inspector page once cancelled.
Unlink A Device From An Inspector Account
InspectEasy only allows an inspector's account to be used on a single device. If you have a need to login on a different device, you can press the chain icon on the inspector page to unlink the account. Logging out from the settings page on the app will also unlink the device from the inspector's account.
Manage Reports
All reports can be managed from the reports screen on the dashboard. From this screen, you can view and download the generated PDF reports and make edits to the report contents with the report editor, as well as mail the report to the client.
Download Report PDF
To download a PDF report from a recently inspected property. Press the downward pointing arrow next to the report that you would like to download.
Email PDF Report
To send an email containing the report to your client, press the envelope icon. This will open up a new page with a list of recipients for the report. You may add multiple recipients which you would like the report to be emailed to.
Edit Report
If you would like to make changes to the report from the comfort of a computer, you can access the report editor by pressing the pencil icon next to the report you wish to edit.
The report editor is designed to be familiar, utilising the same layout as the app. Please follow the app documentation in order to understand the features of the report editor.
Most features are available in the report editor, the only exception is adding additional photos to the report. At this time it is not possible and is recommended to make add additional photos within the app, and re-upload the revised report.
Edit Company Details
If you would like to make changes to your company details, you can do so from the company page. From this page, you can update your company details, logo and report PDF accent colour. The accent colour must be a valid hex colour that is not pure black or white. Your report colour can easily be selected by pressing the colour circle to the right of the input.
If you would like to preview the terms and conditions that are attached with the report PDF when sent to the client, you can do so by pressing "Preview Terms" to the left of the submit button. Ensure you save before viewing the terms to view the latest changes.
Update Billing Details
If you require the need to update your billing details, this can be done from the billing tab. Please ensure you update your card before it's expiry date or if it has been lost or stolen to prevent downtime on your account. A reminder of your card's expiry will be sent to your email seven days before the expiration date and another on the expiration date if the card has not been updated by that time.
Connect a Stripe account for up-front payments
To accept up-front payments you will need to link your Stripe account to the service. To connect a Stripe account visit the billing page and select the setup button under the up-front payments section. This will redirect you to stripes website where you can link an existing account, or create an account if you do not have an existing account.
Once completed you will be redirected back to the InspectEasy site. If linking was successful the setup button will turn green and say "Linked". If it does not show the linked state additional verification may be required on your stripe account. Login to your Stripe dashboard on the stripe website and complete and verification details that the site will prompt you to complete.
Once your account is successfully linked you will be able to send inspection agreements to your clients which contain a payment form for them to pay for the inspection during the pre-inspection agreement process. Once your client agrees to the pre-inspection agreement and inspection terms you will receive a push notification stating that the agreement has been accepted.
Within the app, you can press the red "PENDING AGREEMENT" text to check the agreement state if the app does not automatically update the agreement state for you. This will check if the agreement has been accepted and also sync the agents and site contact details if they were entered by the client. Once the agreement has been accepted you can continue with completing the inspection.
Account Management
If you required changes to your dashboard account, you can access the account management form by pressing the profile image in the top right of the menu.
View News Updates
Occasionally we may post news updates that announce new features or changes to the service. To view the latest news you can press the bell icon in the top right of the menu. New news items that you have not viewed will be indicated by a red dot over the bell icon.
Update Dashboard Account
Press the profile image in the top right of the menu, and select "Manage Account". You will be directed to a form where you can update your login email and password. If you change your access email, your previous email address will no longer work when attempting to login.
